Jasper Valley Homes Association, Amherst’s Premier Neighborhood’ established in 1970, involved careful planning in the design and layout of the neighborhood, including several cul-de-sacs with nicely spaced houses, affording homeowner's privacy, while still maintaining a neighborhood feeling.
Jasper Valley is centrally located between all of the award-winning Amherst schools. A variety of shopping centers and access to major highways are just a few miles away. The Jasper Valley Swim and Tennis club is within walking distance from almost every house in the neighborhood.
Among the many features and benefits of Jasper Valley are the 56+ acres of common areas co-owned by all of the Jasper Valley homeowners. These consist of open fields as well as wooded areas which enhance the surrounding neighborhoods. All common areas of land are protected and will never be built upon – therefore preserving its rural character.
The Jasper Valley Homes Association is managed by a rotating group of homeowners who volunteer their time. A sample of some of their responsibilities include:
• Arranging/hosting social gatherings
• Managing all fiscal matters
• Ensuring JVHA by-laws are upheld
